Position Overview
YORK CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD invites applications for the position of French Immersion Teacher - Grade 6/7 at St. Marguerite D'Youville.
Effective immediately and open‑ended. FTE: 1.0. Both French and English portions are required. Daily rates are per full day worked:
- Unqualified: $280.41
- Qualified (salary grid placement): $289.19 – $619.73*

Required Qualifications / Experience
- FSL – Part 1 and/or other French qualifications as recorded on Ontario College of Teachers Certificate (OCT)
- High degree of oral and written proficiency in the French language
- Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division Qualifications
Desired Qualifications / Experience
- Experience teaching in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
- Trained in the Accelerated Integrated Method (AIM/Gestures)
- FSL – Part 2 or Specialist qualification
- Knowledge of Balance Literacy and Numeracy practices in the Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate Division
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to share a Junior or Intermediate classroom
