This individual will work closely with our vendor, other members of the WFP project team, and the Finance/Payroll and HR department.Our Workforce Planning solution will include the implementation of the UKG Workforce Management and supporting systems which will streamline schedule creation, attendance management, and create improved self-service options for our staff to manage their schedules.Critical to this role will be a combination of functional expertise and an ability to see how we can transform our processes, enabled by technology. In this role you will be supported by a cross-functional group of peers and leaders, all committed to making this project a success.Key Responsibilities:Act as the functional expert during design and build sessions with our vendor partnersDevelop test cases and conduct rigorous testing of the new solution in readiness for go-live.Communicate and engage within your department, as well as other impacted departments, to ensure the solution meets the needs of CMH.Identify where CMH needs to develop or modify current processes and practices related to the Workforce Planning solution.Take on the role of super-user during go-live readiness activities, supporting training and go-live for your department.Support the development of an operational support plan, ensuring that CMH is able to sustain this solution after the go-live.Support other aspects of this project or other projects as requiredSkills and Qualifications:Recent experience, 3-5 years in staffing and scheduling clinical and service staff in a unionized healthcare setting is requiredRecent experience, 3-5 years in processing and preparing payroll is requiredRecent experience, 3-5 years in working within the language of central and local collective agreements and  with non-unionized policies is requiredStrong and accurate data entry and computer skills including MS Word, Excel, OutlookRecent experience processing and trouble shooting with Blackberry AtHoc an assetExperience participating in projects, ideally as one who has lead projects within one’s department.Demonstrated ability to work with individuals across other departments.Excellent time management skills, with the ability to plan one’s work to deliver on project deliverables.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate new concepts to a broad audience.Ability to work in a team environment, while having individual responsibilities and accountabilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our patients, staff and community from COVID-19, subject to any accommodation required by applicable human rights legislation, Cambridge Memorial Hospital requires that all staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.The successful external applicant is required to provide the applicable criminal record check, as requested by Human Resources, in accordance with federal and provincial legislation.
