Our client has immediate opportunities for Weld Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determines the process and methods required for new program parts
- Create PFEMA’s and Process Flowcharts
- Create Process Books (includes Draft Op Instruction, Pkg Instruction, BOM Sheet)
- Participates in cross functional APQP meetings, providing due dates for various tasks appliable to Corporate Manufacturing Engineering from start of program to launch.
- Create conceptual layouts for facility (plant) and work cells
- Liaison with Customers on Packaging Requirements
- Perform cost analysis on packaging requirements.
- Review capacity and floorspace requirements for all facilities on new model programs
- Create / Update Production Routings in CMS (Applicable to facilities to have CMS System)
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical design in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (metal forming, welding, e-coat)
- Practical knowledge of GD&T with the capacity to communicate requirements
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Design & Analysis
