Do you have marketing and e-commerce marketing experience? We are seeking a Web & E-Commerce Marketing Manager to join our stellar team. This is a unique shared services role between Sun Peaks Resort and the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel, designed to leverage synergies in marketing and digital strategy across both entities. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will manage all website content and a rapidly growing and evolving e-commerce portfolio. Compensation Information:
$80,000 per year
Physical Requirement:
Light, work activities involve handling loads between 5kg and 10 kg. Predominately in an indoor setting.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.
Accountabilities:
- Web Management: Manage all aspects of website properties with a focus on both user interface and user experience to enhance engagement. Act as the primary point of contact to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement, and test all website initiatives, including supporting snow reporting functions.
- E-commerce Management: Lead E-Commerce strategies and execution across multiple business functions within resort. Act as the primary point of contact to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement, and test all E-Commerce initiatives.
- Copywriting: Provide high-quality copywriting for all website applications, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Metrics and Analytics: Conduct thorough data analysis and tracking for both E-commerce and web functions to drive informed decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Relationship Management: Manage relationships and collaborate with third party vendors to deliver both E-Commerce and web management services in an effective and efficient way.
- Resort App Management: Coming summer 2025 – oversee all aspects of the resort’s mobile app, ensuring seamless functionality and an exceptional user experience. Coordinate with internal teams and external developers to evaluate, prioritize, and implement app updates and new features. Monitor app performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement. Manage push notifications and in-app messaging to enhance guest engagement and drive resort activities. Ensure the app integrates smoothly with other digital platforms and supports overall resort objectives.
- Leadership: Role model our values, and work with a high degree of autonomy as a key member of the Marketing and Communications team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross functionally throughout the organization with multiple departments and business units on various programs and activities related to connected marketing initiatives.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum three years of experience in a similar or related role
- Post-secondary education in marketing, commerce, or related field
- Strong overall business acumen required
- Direct and detailed experience with website management and E-Commerce platforms
- Strong copywriting and editing skills
- Experience with traditional and digital marketing tools
- Results oriented with background in metric monitoring and reporting
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with tight deadlines
- Relationship management background with industry partners and vendors
- Thrive in a team environment and embrace collaboration across varied platforms
- Knowledge of mountain resort product and current competitive environment
- Flexibility, responsiveness, and proactivity are crucial
- Weekend and holiday work required
- A passion for outdoor recreation: skiing, snowboarding, biking, and golf are all considered assets
- Valid driver’s licence
- Authorized to work in Canada
