JOB SUMMARY The Warehouse Team Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing all facets of the organizations warehouse operations. This includes responsibilities ranging from receiving and inventory control to picking loading, safety, and security. The incumbent will collaborate with third-party loading services to ensure accurate and timely shipments, while also planning, organizing, leading, and directing warehouse personnel activities. Shift: Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 5:30pm OR Tuesday to Saturday: 9:00am to 5:30pm RESPONSIBILITIES Complete shift briefings to ensure the effective communication of relevant information to department team members. Manage and lead warehouse staff in achieving operational goals and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations. Oversee and manage the workflow on the warehouse floor to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Provide assistance and support to the supervisor/manager in managing daily tasks and operations. Ensuring employees adhere to policies, processes, and performance standards. Responsible for supporting the rollout of new processes by providing necessary training and guidance to team members. Responsible for training, supervising, and managing staff in assigned areas to ensure all tasks are completed. Implementing/supervising safe practices and ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Facilitate effective communication with both external and internal clients. Manage and direct the shipping logistics for all products to other Metro facilities. Ensure proper processes are followed with a focus on identifying any product damage and that all stop dates are correctly assigned. Supervising all warehouse personnel, including hiring, scheduling, and development. Overseeing all receiving activities to ensure on-time delivery and monitoring yard management. Manage the billing process for all warehousing storage services. Ensure that all team members end of day reports are completed daily. Responsible for completing daily reports to management after each shift. Provide feedback on group and individual performance according to standard operating procedures. EXPERIENCE 2+ years’ experience in warehouse setting or similar position with a proven track record.
