Job Description

Prepac Manufacturing Ltd. (“Prepac”) is a Canadian-based designer and manufacturer of innovative, stylish and value-based home furniture. Prepac manufactures flat-packed, ready-to-assemble products including bedroom, multimedia, home office, entryway and storage furniture that are sold exclusively to end-customers through some of the largest online furniture retailers in North America, including Amazon, Wayfair and Walmart. Prepac operates two state-of-the-art facilities – a manufacturing facility in Delta, British Columbia and a new facility in Whitsett, North Carolina, which opened in 2021 and incorporates manufacturing, distribution and warehousing all in one location.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Operations provides leadership and strategic direction to the company’s manufacturing and logistics divisions. While the VP’s primary role will be the management of the Delta, BC and Whitsett, NC production facilities, including production, supply chain, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance, they will also be a key decision-maker in strategic planning and execution, contributing to the overall direction and success of the business. The VP will drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality and customer satisfaction while instilling a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a successful senior operations leader with experience in manufacturing, particularly in furniture and wood products, who has improved manufacturing processes and practices. They possess broad operational skills in production planning, inventory management, supply chain, and quality assurance, with a passion for efficiency and safety. Strategic and analytical, they are adept at scaling up operations for growth and have experience with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. An inspiring leader with strong relationship skills, they can mentor and develop teams, resolve conflicts, and engage employees effectively. The candidate also has strong business acumen, goal orientation, and communication skills, with the ability to make sound business decisions and travel regularly between facilities in different locations.

The base compensation range for this position is up to $250,000 + bonus. The exact compensation range may vary depending on the candidate’s skills and experience.
