Job Description

Our client, a major player in road transport, is actively seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Sales. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the organization.

Key responsibilities will include leading, directing, and challenging the sales team to secure growth opportunities in line with business objectives. Providing leadership, support, and direction as well as defining succession plans for key sales roles to ensure organizational resilience and continuity in a rapidly evolving market. Acting as a crucial liaison between customers, terminal operations, and cross-functional departments, you will foster seamless collaboration to optimize sales performance.

Leveraging your deep understanding of industry trends, developments, and shifts, you’ll refine customer engagement strategies, identify lucrative business prospects, and mitigate potential risks for a sustained competitive advantage. Spearheading the development and refinement of sales and lead generation strategies, conducting comprehensive sales performance analyses, and crafting compelling value propositions and pricing strategies to drive operational efficiencies will be crucial. Additionally, you will play a strategic role in cultivating and influencing decision-makers across all key customer accounts, driving crucial business alliances, and fostering sustained growth.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business or a related field, a proven track record of 10+ years in sales management, with 5+ years at the executive level, preferably within the transportation/trucking industry, exceptional multi-dimensional business acumen, influencing, and communication skills, as well as strong decision-making abilities and confidence to navigate complex landscapes and drive strategic initiatives.
