Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Marketing to lead our entire marketing function, from strategy to execution. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive brand building, customer acquisition, and retention efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building successful brands and over 10 years of marketing experience. Responsibilities include overseeing digital marketing, content creation, SEO, public relations, and budget management. You will also conduct market research to inform strategic decisions and collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and support for marketing initiatives. The VP of Marketing plays a pivotal role in driving our growth by effectively communicating the value of our offerings to the market, building a strong brand, and cultivating customer relationships. This individual will report directly to the Founder & CEO as part of the core leadership team.

Beautifi is a Canadian fin-tech company that offers Canadians flexible financing solutions for elective medical procedures ranging from plastic surgery to fertility. Beautifi is one of the fastest growing fin-techs in the country and has achieved success following a customer-centric and tech-forward approach. In addition to direct-to-consumer financing, Beautifi also provides capital equipment solutions for clinics purchasing medical devices as well as lead generation and marketing services for clinics. At Beautifi, our goal is to make health and beauty affordable and to give Canadians access to the procedures they want or need, without having to wait.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Marketing Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
  • Brand Management: Build and maintain the brand identity with our clients and clinic partners. This involves defining and refining the brand’s voice, values, and visual identity.
  • Lead Generation and Customer Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to generate leads and acquire new customers. This will include content marketing, digital and physical advertising, social media marketing, email campaigns, and partnerships among other channels.
  • Customer Retention and Engagement: Work on strategies to retain existing customers and create repeat customers through drip and retargeting campaigns.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize data and analytics to monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives. Continuously monitor and analyze KPI’s to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Content Strategy: Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy that will assist in scaling our audience and organic lead generation efforts.
  • Public Relations: Manage Beautifi’s public image and media relations. This includes press releases, media outreach, community events, and crisis communication if necessary.
  • Budget Management: Manage the Marketing budget, meeting key targets and objectives within defined financial parameters.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and continue to scale our skilled marketing team.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify, explore, and execute on potential partnerships with Brands or Influencers that could enhance Beautifi’s marketing efforts and expand our reach.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Remain apprised of relevant regulations and industry standards and ensure all marketing activities are compliant.
  • User Experience and Customer Journey: Collaborate with the Business Development and Customer Experience team to ensure we are providing a best-in-class customer experience at each and every stage of the Journey.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  •  Strong track record in marketing roles, with progressively increasing responsibilities and experience in leadership roles.
  • Previous experience in FinTech, Consumer Lending, or Health and Beauty a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated capability in strategic marketing planning and execution.
  • Understanding of financial products, services, and regulatory considerations.
  • Expertise using key marketing tools (Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Experience with various marketing channels and tactics, such as digital marketing, content marketing, SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and more.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing marketing teams.
  • Proven ability to execute and produce results in customer acquisition, lead generation, and user growth.
  • Confident analyzing and interpreting data to inform strategies, make decisions, and measure success.
  • Experience in brand development and management, including brand positioning and messaging.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling and creative marketing content and effectively present marketing strategies to stakeholders.
  •  Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identity market opportunities and overcome challenges and roadblocks.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross functional teams to align marketing goals and communication across departments including Partnerships and Customer Experience.
  • Familiar with marketing automation tools and Salesforce.
  • Understanding and interest in emerging marketing technologies such as machine learning and AI an asset.
  • 3+ years in a senior marketing position is required.
  • 10+ years experience in marketing-related positions is required.

Location:

  • Applicants must be willing to work in-office, this is a full-time in-office position.
  • Successful applicants may choose to work in either the Vancouver or Toronto office.
  • Our Vancouver office is located at 609 Granville Street, in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. Our Toronto office is located at 171 East Liberty St., Toronto ON, in Toronto’s Liberty Village neighborhood.
