The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity to establish Financial Services as a distinct and successful business unit within Peace Hills Trust, enhancing the company’s growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the VP Financial Services will lead the company’s personal and business banking activities and product development, oversee the branch network, and direct all banking and payment operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, recommend, and implement strategic opportunities that effectively support the company’s deposit and asset growth goals, online and in the regions it operates in.
  • Enhance and expand the retail banking product line to improve competitiveness and profitability.
  • Collaborate on RFP responses for banking relationships.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology to deliver competitive digital banking solutions for personal and business customers.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement strategies for the deposit portfolio, including portfolio concentrations, growth strategies, and market concentrations.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the Financial Services team to strengthen the company’s retail banking capabilities and expertise.
  • Oversee branch marketing activities.
  • Establish, lead, and manage customer service standards for all branch network operations.
  • Participate in fostering key strategic alliances with First Nations administrations, businesses, and members, as well as non-First Nations customers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in retail financial services.
  • A solid understanding of personal and business banking products, services, and payments.
  • Experience building, managing, and mentoring teams.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated skills in project and budget management.
  • Extensive experience reviewing, drafting, and implementing organizational policies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Technology, or equivalent experience.
