Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Management Responsibilities
- participate in Senior Management team to set, challenge and achieve CanGas strategic goals
- supervision, direction, leadership, training, and development (annual performance reviews) for the direct reports including setting expectations and holding team members accountable
- the creation and maintenance of risk registry for the CanGas including follow-up on committed actions to reduce organizational risks
- the IT functions for CanGas including Cybersecurity
- and investigate and implement system changes and continuous improvements as required to ensure current and relevant information is available to support CanGas business performance
- the annual budget process within the outlined deadlines
- and inform individuals with budget responsibilities on financial information
- able to view and analyze sensitive information, providing opinion and being a confident to the President and the Senior Management team.
Transaction Accountability
- and analyze variances in financial information through the use of critical thinking
- to maintain current billings and accounts throughout the year
- management with information and advise on all matters related to finance in routine reporting
- sales team accurate and timely information to support pricing decisions; including account profitability assessment
- accounts receivable are collected professionally in accordance with policies and payment terms
- the management of cash-flow and optimization of working capital and control over inventory, payables and receivables
- Outline
- to ensure team is providing senior CanGas management and the CanGas Board through the delivery of scheduled monthly and yearly financial results
- relationship with the Board of Directors and PIC Leadership (CFO) as well as other PIC companies peers
- and lead monthly forecasting processes
- the schedules and analysis for initial and external audits within associated deadlines
- for developing and executing on M&A processes including ensuring valuations are prepared on acquisition opportunities or asset purchases including
- for periodic reporting to government agencies including GST, PST, Carbon Tax etc.
- that the annual profit sharing are accurately created and distributed, managers and executive bonus programs and sales commission
- the general ledger for simplicity and relevance for the purpose of making business decisions
Qualifications
- University degree with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA or equivalent)
- years of previous accounting experience
- years of supervisory experience of 3+ person teams
- in a commission sales-based environment would be an advantage
- written and verbal communication skills

- problem solver ability to take financial information identify gaps and opportunities sharing information in a timely and relevant manner to support business opportunities
- flexible, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision
- to interact seamlessly and with a professional demeanor across a broad range of individuals including members of the operations team, Senior Management team and Board of Directors
- to advanced experience with Office products including Power BI or other data analytic tools
