Job Description

Summary of day-to-day responsibilities:

• As a Mobile Designer at client, you’ll be a strong advocate for the customer. You have a strong design background and passionate about customer-centric innovation. You take pride in your work. You obsess over details and insist on iterating until you’ve gotten it right.
• You know iOS and Android native patterns like the back of your hand.
• You see feedback as a good thing. You can work with detailed or more ambiguous requirements to discover unmet, unarticulated needs and problems to solve.
• You’re a great storyteller who is at ease presenting and discussing your work with clients, stakeholders, and developers. You can spot an out of place pixel from across the room.
• You challenge old ways of thinking and put the customer at the center of everything you do. User-Centered Design methodologies are second nature to you.

Responsibilities:

• Transform complex problems into elegant experiences.
• Ideation, concept development and experience innovation
• Creation of sketches, wireframes, specifications, prototypes, scenarios storyboards, and detailed designs.
• Ensure that that mobile experiences align with cross-channel design solutions.
• Close collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams development teams to ensure that design intent is achieved.
• Advocate for the user throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of current design methodologies, practices, and trends.
• Work closely with the Emerald Design System team.
• Participation in observational studies, usability testing and other customer research
• Effective communication of conceptual ideas, detailed designs, and design approaches/rationales

Must have:

• Mobile App UX Designer experience.
• Ability to translate conceptual ideas into compelling customer experiences.
• Contributes to shaping the strategic experience design approach for projects and initiatives.
• Prototyping skills demonstrated through various techniques: sketch, paper, wireframe, video, or interactive prototypes
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Understanding of web and mobile technologies
• Understanding how to use and contribute to design systems
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Organization, logic, and analytical skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to ask good questions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to communicate ideas to a diverse audience and constructively integrate feedback
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate well in a team environment
