THE OPPORTUNITY
What you’ll be working on
Our UX Architect is primarily an excellent prototyper skilled in ideation, gathering insights, feedback, technical details, administration, and flawless communication. You are capable of initiating qualitative & quantitative research to support (or debate) a PM approach and have a hefty experience in fully prototyping features, functions, and full flows from start to finish, delivering robust user journeys, information architecture strategies, and other essential artifacts to create outstanding user experiences. You are proficient in balancing changing priorities and managing stakeholders' feedback while also creating highly eective experiences.
You will report directly to the VP of Design & UX, joining a multi-faceted team of product, visual, and UX designers. You will adhere to our unique Agile for Design teams’ ways of working, occasionally leading low-fidelity design reviews, providing feedback to Sr. & Junior team members, and managing shifting priorities, all while receiving and incorporating feedback as well.
You possess the qualities of a self-starter and a team player, along with a healthy dose of empathy and patience toward customers and colleagues alike. These core qualities are integral to your approach to design leadership and individual contribution.
You will:
Be a core UX member and the top experience-level peer in our Product Design team, driving fast-paced as well as long and hefty projects from inception to the finish line
Take part in holding lead-review sessions diligently (especially on Low-fidelity prototypes) while consistently incorporating best practices & UX standards in your ongoing feedback.
Initiate and drive user discovery sessions, design thinking discussions, and journey/empathy mapping workshops to unlock a cohesive understanding of our users’ pain points & blockers
Deliver designs on-time for our sprint cycles, and do so continuously while constantly raising the quality bar.
Lead design-centric projects hands-on from beginning to end; through internal + exec reviews, internal testing, and UAT insight to pixel-perfection
Learn, relearn, and share best practices with peers and higher-ups
Ensure adherence to best-in-class methodologies, research & brand consistency standards
Relentlessly seek user feedback and validation; rework your deliverables accordingly; repeat

What You Bring to The Table:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
8+ Years of experience in Digital design, UI+GUI, full-stack product design
Stellar portfolio demonstrating both technical skills & creative thinking
3+ years of experience leading UX workshops as a sole UX leader
Worked with SAAS products, platforms, or eCommerce tools in the past
Willingness to learn, iterate and reiterate
A keen eye for details
Proficient written & oral skills
A superpower to operate and invent optimally while under pressure
Superb skills in Sketch, Figma, Invision & Adobe creative suite
It’ll be great if you also (Bonus):
Have an engineering/industrial/graphic Masters's degree
Have eCommerce and/or Marketplace experience
Worked in an agency, creative studio, or startup before
Have experience involving Accessibility best practices
