Job Description

CINUP is an association plan and you will participate in the annual block renewal activities, including the review of historical claims experience, demographic changes, and preparation of client renewal reports. The role also involves the preparation, written analysis, and distribution of quarterly experience reports. You will handle inquiries, pricing for plan design amendments, and engage in rate negotiations with our insurer. You will be responsible for providing timely and excellent customer service to both internal and external contacts.Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience in group insurance underwritingPost-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experienceSound knowledge in the pricing of both manual- and experience-rated benefitsUnderstanding of various financial arrangements, including non-refund, refund, and self-insuredComprehensive knowledge of group insurance productsStrong ability to compile data, analyze it, and apply it in practiceExcellent accuracy and attention to detailCreative problem-solving skillsEffective organizational and document management skillsClear and well-developed communication skills (oral and written)Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCompletion of GBA/CEBS courses would be considered an assetJohnston Group provides employee benefit solutions to over 30,000 companies, ranging from one employee to thousands across various product lines, including Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan, Canada’s #1 employee benefits plan for small businesses.
