About the role
Coast Underwriters is looking for an Intermediate Commercial Marine Underwriter to join our growing team! This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our office in Downtown Toronto.
What you’ll do here:
- Accept, reject, endorse, renew or cancel policies following Coast’s underwriting guidelines and procedures, applicable laws and regulations and subject to authority level as specified by underwriting manager.
- Focus on sustainable profitable growth
- Analyze requests for quotes, renewals and policy changes, and recommend solutions
- Support brokers regarding underwriting and rating policies
- Use effective communication and negotiating skills to maintain healthy relationships within and outside the company
