About the role
Work with customers early and often in the design process, validating concepts and engaging in customer discovery to explore new opportunities. Refine and push the boundaries of designs, while also advancing Conexiom’s overall design system, collaborating with peers both inside and outside the company, applying both current best practices and experimenting with emerging design patterns, especially in the use of chat interfaces. Design, prototype, test, and iterate through to final designs that are ready to become reality.

Responsibilities

  • Pair with product managers in early concept exploration, validating new opportunities through customer discovery, user research, market research, first user stories, and wireframes which will help test and refine the lean canvas.
  • Identify key UX and UI considerations for information presentation, navigation, layout, usability, and accessibility.
  • Flow into low fidelity prototypes that enable customer feedback before refining with a series of high fidelity designs that range in outcomes from meeting the functional need to introducing moments of delight that facilitate product led growth to pushing the limits of design, discovering just how much is too much.
  • Test, finalize and refine designs with customers while collaborating with developers, data scientists, and data architects to meet technical needs.
  • Monitor success and adoption of designs through product analytics, heatmaps, and session replays.
  • Improve and advance Conexiom’s overall design system along with our usage of Material, introducing modern design to new deliverables while also setting path for existing design patterns and user experiences to be updated over time.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of UX design experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to, adhering to, and enhancing design systems.
  • Proficiency is various methods of user research, including but not limited to Usability Testing, User Interviews, Card Sorting, Design Thinking, Journey Mapping, Diary Studies, etc.
  • Portfolio of work that showcases design proficiency.
  • College or university diploma/degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Miro, or similar solutions.
  • Experience with accessibility considered an asset.
  • Knowledge or proficiency in web development technologies valuable, but not required.
  • Experience with B2B software solutions or related industries to Conexiom’s customers are welcome, but not required.

The targeted salary range for this position falls between $80,000 to $110,000 CAD depending on experience and qualifications.
