ADVERTISEMENT #42719NATIONAL OCCUPATION CODE42201POSITION TYPEFULL-TIME Duties:Provides Leadership, coordination and support to school divisions with the implementation of Treaty Education. Works with school divisions, Catalyst teachers, school leaders and Indigenous education leads to integrate Treaty Education and the original Spirit and Intent of the Treaties into curriculum, school plans and School Division Plans via the Framework for Continuous Improvement.Qualifications: Essential :The candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Education degree. They must be a certified teacher with teaching experience in Kindergarten - Grade 12 within Provincial or First Nations schoolsSuccessful experience working with First Nation, Inuit and Metis students, communities and organizations is requiredExperience in project management and leading project teamsExperience implementing treaty education at a school or divisional levelKnowledge of budgeting and financial accountability practices and contract administrationWorking relationship with departmental, governmental and external partners such as school divisions, Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba, Indigenous Rights Holders and organizations and the education sectorExcellent problem solving and decision making skillsPrepares and administers contracts, monitors the work of contractors, and communicates with the educational communityExperience leading and directing a team and establish shared learning, and training expectationsVerbal communicationsWritten communicationsAbility to work in a fast paced team environmentConditions of Employment:Must be legally entitled to work in CanadaMust maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check is requiredTravel within the province may be requiredA satisfactory Child Abuse Registry checkPlease send a cover letter and a resume toemployerrep@abcentre.org.
