Training Specialist/Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Job Title: Training Specialist
Location: Western Provinces - Requires 75% travel in the Region.
Duration: 2 Years
Position Overview: As part of the Ultrasound Clinical Applications Team, this position is responsible for providing formal technical and clinical support during the sales process. Responsibilities may include providing the required pre-sale product demonstrations (or clinical trial support) as well as post-sale installation, training, and/or customer service activities to support sales objectives for their geography. Responsibilities may also include ongoing post-sale customer support including on-site clinical in-servicing and go-live support.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and clinical leadership to customers by demonstrating the full range of product features including potential uses, product capabilities, and benefits to customers as needed.
- Improve customer satisfaction and socket retention through continuing education on optimization of equipment utilization by customers.
- Support trade shows, workshops, and professional conferences by performing product demonstrations and promotions as well as customer training.
- Provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs.
- Produce well-written post-training reports and submit them within 10 days post-training visit.
- Work collaboratively with members of the Customer Education Team.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
- Five + years of imaging experience in a diagnostic clinical setting.
- Must be willing to travel a high percentage of the time.
- Working knowledge of electronic file management and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability and passion to teach.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and positively with prospects and customer base.
- Strong analytical skills for product troubleshooting.
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with travel nationally with availability for consecutive overnight stays and occasional weekends.
- Working knowledge of Client Logiq and Voluson products.
- Valid Driver's License and passport.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bilingual in both French and English is an asset.
- Experience in adult training, including presentation experience.
- Ability to teach and train in an effective and organized manner.
- Ability to build rapport, establish credibility and create a non-threatening environment for learning.
