Training Specialist/Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

  • Part-time

Job Title: Training Specialist

Location: Western Provinces - Requires 75% travel in the Region.

Duration: 2 Years

Position Overview: As part of the Ultrasound Clinical Applications Team, this position is responsible for providing formal technical and clinical support during the sales process. Responsibilities may include providing the required pre-sale product demonstrations (or clinical trial support) as well as post-sale installation, training, and/or customer service activities to support sales objectives for their geography. Responsibilities may also include ongoing post-sale customer support including on-site clinical in-servicing and go-live support.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical and clinical leadership to customers by demonstrating the full range of product features including potential uses, product capabilities, and benefits to customers as needed.
  2. Improve customer satisfaction and socket retention through continuing education on optimization of equipment utilization by customers.
  3. Support trade shows, workshops, and professional conferences by performing product demonstrations and promotions as well as customer training.
  4. Provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs.
  5. Produce well-written post-training reports and submit them within 10 days post-training visit.
  6. Work collaboratively with members of the Customer Education Team.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  2. Five + years of imaging experience in a diagnostic clinical setting.
  3. Must be willing to travel a high percentage of the time.
  4. Working knowledge of electronic file management and Microsoft Outlook.
  5. Ability and passion to teach.
  6. Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  7. Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to communicate effectively and positively with prospects and customer base.
  9. Strong analytical skills for product troubleshooting.
  10. Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  11. Comfortable with travel nationally with availability for consecutive overnight stays and occasional weekends.
  12. Working knowledge of Client Logiq and Voluson products.
  13. Valid Driver's License and passport.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Bilingual in both French and English is an asset.
  2. Experience in adult training, including presentation experience.
  3. Ability to teach and train in an effective and organized manner.
  4. Ability to build rapport, establish credibility and create a non-threatening environment for learning.
