Overview

Hexagon Autonomy and Positioning (A&P) is looking for a Technical Training Coordinator to develop, maintain and deliver complex technical training material for our internal and external customers.In this position, you will manage all aspects of the Customer Support training programme to ensure that our training material is delivered to the highest standards. This role will collaborate closely with other members of the Customer Support team including the Technology and Market Leads, Customers, Sales, Product Management, Project Management and Marketing to help ensure the cohesive and comprehensive delivery of training material.

As part of the Specialist Customer Support team reporting to the Content Team Lead, this position will join a high-performing team focused on the creation of meaningful content to help customers self-serve, integrate, and maintain Hexagon A&P products and services efficiently.The Location: This position is based in Calgary, Canada, or Aberdeen, Scotland. Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world that could be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

As our Tehcnical Training Coordinator, you would be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and managing training and development programmes based on the needs of the customers and the organisation
  • Identifying training and development needs within the Customer Support Group through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with Managers and Technical Leads
  • Creating and/or delivering a range of training using face-to-face, digital and blended learning options
  • Evaluating training and development programmes, and prepare reports for management in areas such as usage, engagement and performance
  • Triaging and coordinating customer training, education and onboarding requests
  • Delivering “train the trainer” style courses, encouraging best practise to regional teams delivering training to customers
  • Building and maintaining virtual learning content for customers
  • Researching and implementing new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning
  • Promoting a work culture of continuing professional development (CPD)
Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 3 years related experience in training
  • Familiar with adult learning principles and techniques
  • Experience developing self-service training material
  • Experience delivering training material to a variety of audiences

  • High attention to detail with strong written and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse, learn and understand complex products, technologies, and concepts
  • Strong multitasking and prioritising abilities
  • Self-starter and comfortable working individually but know when to ask for help
  • Work well in a collaborative environment

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience working with Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and INS products
  • Experience of learning management systems
  • Experience working directly or indirectly with customers
  • Experience providing best practice courses on how to deliver engaging, informative training
  • Experience working with eLearning content creation programs (e.g. Adobe Captivate, Articulate)
