KGS Group is looking for a dedicated Training and Development Coordinator to join our growing company and Human Resources Department.

About Us

Over the past 30 years, KGS Group has grown to be the largest employee-owned engineering consulting firm based in Manitoba. We work in nearly every area of engineering and have led significant public and private projects across Canada and internationally.

Our work in Manitoba ranges from the design and construction of major hydro dams to the first large diameter tunneling works in the province to a variety of engineering services for noteworthy local landmarks such as The Forks Riverwalk, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Bell MTS Centre and Birds Hill Lake, to name a few.

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous learning and will play a critical role in developing and enhancing our training and development programs across the organization. You will be responsible for the tracking, coordination, and administration of the organizations training activities. An integral part of the Human Resources team, the Training and Development Coordinator provides support and assistance to various human resources related activities while contributing to KGS Group’s employee experience.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR, Quality, Health and Safety, IT, and Senior Management to conduct needs assessment and analysis to identify performance gaps and develop training strategy.
  • Contribute towards the design and implementation of metrics, processes and tools for coordination, tracking and implementation of various training programs.
  • Coordinate and engage with subject matter experts (internally and externally) to support training delivery and facilitation as needed.
  • Support the learner/trainee experience including communications, attendance, tracking progress, assessments and overall success.
  • Conduct learner/trainee follow-up meetings as required to support, assess, and evaluate knowledge and abilities.
  • Track and present on training program evaluations and summaries to identify opportunities for ongoing improvement.
  • Maintain KGS Campus and the training matrix and ensure that employees are completing all the required training for their role.

About You

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in human resources or business.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a Training and Development role, or equivalent.
  • You have exemplary attention to detail with an eye for accuracy and consistency.
  • You have excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel is an asset.
