For all.Group SummaryThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.Recognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.The Tool and Die maker reports to the Toolroom Manager and is responsible for repairing moulds as per the Tooling Supervisor’s instructions. He/she completes modifications and repairs moulds and tooling to meet Rollstamp and customers quality requirements.Your Responsibilities• Build new dies and tooling from drawings and /or specifications by laying out, setting up, machining, fitting, and finishing metal stock and castings.• Repair dies and tools used in production as needed. Test repaired dies for proper operation, operating press as required, and run test parts.• Has a good basic knowledge of various materials (tool steel, etc.) heat treating and basic welding.• Operate a variety of machine tools to cut, mill or grind.• Verify conformance of completed dies to specifications by checking dimensions clearances, alignments, and finish, consistently working to close tolerances.• Operate crane to remove and/or relocate dies to specific workstations/equipment.• Provide assistance and guidance to Tool & Die Apprentices.• Share ideas/suggestions for improvements and root cause analysis to all team members, including Management.• Maintain 5S, safety and housekeeping standards of workplace as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other Company policies and procedures or by the supervisor.• Complete tool room job sheets.• Comply with Section 28 of the OHSA.• Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Rollstamp Employee Handbook.• Adhere to all applicable Business Operating Systems Procedures.• Comply with all Rollstamp Health and Safety policies and procedures.• Comply with all Rollstamp IATF 16949 policies and procedures.• Comply with all Rollstamp ISO14001 policies and procedures.• Perform any other reasonable request by management.WORKER HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:• Conduct work in compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and ISO45001 Occupational H&S Management System (OHSMS) and ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements• Follow all Rollstamp’s HSE policies and procedures • Use and wear the right personal protective equipment (PPE) and protective devices • Report absence or defect in any equipment or protective device to the Supervisor/Manager• Report any hazard, unsafe act or condition to the Supervisor/Manager• Attend/participate in all required trainingWho we are looking forYour preferred qualificationsEducational Requirements: High School Graduate (Grade 12).
