Job Description

Our Client in the Non-Profit Sector is looking to hire an Associate Director of Development. They will be responsible for managing the Major Gifts fundraising and Event Sponsorship initiatives for the organization. The role includes identifying and engaging individuals, corporations, or foundations to cultivate relationships that will help fund the organization's initiatives. Additionally, the Associate Director will develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the Foundation's capital campaign.

**This role requires the ideal candidate to be fluent speaking in both English and Cantonese language and minimum 5 years experience in fundraising, handling grants and campaigns.

Location: Richmond Hill

Salary: $70k-$80K

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time (Fully in person)

Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm
(This role requires attendance of approx 4-5 events a year on a weekend; and approx. 3-4 evening events a year on weekdays)

Responsibilities

-Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive fundraising program, including corporate, foundation, annual giving, events, direct response, major gifts, grants, planned giving, monthly gifts, and event sponsorship.
-Set and drive the organization's strategic philanthropic goals and strategies.
-Build and maintain relationships with high-level donors and organizations.
-Manage stakeholder cultivation, solicitation, and retention strategies.
-Oversee prospect identification, monitoring, and evaluation.
-Coordinate and produce fundraising and campaign materials.
-Collaborate with marketing and communications for integrated messaging.
-Ensure full stewardship cycle for donors: qualify, cultivate, ask, thank, inform, and recognize.
-Attend external functions and events as required.
-Manage a team of 4-5 people, including database coordinators, donor relations officers, fundraising officers, and development officers.
-Prepare and manage development budget, donor database, and other fundraising tools.

Qualifications
-Post Secondary education in Fundraising, Marketing, or a related field.
-Minimum of five years' progressive fundraising experience, including major gifts and corporate giving.
-Proven ability to develop and maintain complex relationships with corporate partners, donors, volunteer boards, committees, peers, and support staff.
-Advanced knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques.
-Results-driven and self-motivated with leadership and interpersonal skills.
-MUST have Experience with data management and analysis using Raiser's Edge NXT or similar software program
-Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is an asset.
-Proficiency in speaking Cantonese and English is a MUST
