The Role:
The Medcan Clinic is recruiting a Fitness Tester (Body Composition and Muscle and Joint Fitness) to join our high performance Fitness Testing team. The role is primarily responsible for conducting the InBody Scan (Body composition) testing and Muscle and Joint Fitness testing for our clients during their Annual Health Assessment. The ideal candidate is a client focused professional with great communications skills and some healthcare experience.
The Accountabilities:
InBody Testing:
The InBody body composition machine uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) technology to measure the clients body composition. This equipment is a state of the art BIA body composition testing machine. It gives metrics such as body fat %, muscle mass, visceral fat mass, hydration levels. The printout reports break down lean body mass and body fat mass via specific segments within the body as well. The tester would interpret these results for the client and explain where the client falls in the ‘normal range’ for the age and gender.
Muscle and Joint Fitness Testing:
The Requirements:
This is a casual position that is primarily required for occasional Saturdays and/or weekday shifts. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Clinic Services and is part of a team of 10 members.
There is a potential extended opportunity to work within Medcan’s Child and Youth Clinic performing various assessments on children aged 5-17. These tests range from vertical jump, to grip strength, to a cardiovascular assessment.
