The role of the Test Lead is to provide leadership in the Planning and Execution of all aspects of Testing thus ensuring delivery quality and schedule adherence. You will be responsible for executing the defined IT governance and operational processes to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development. 

The Test Lead will establish partnerships within ATCO IT, Environment and Release community for collaborative working and ensuring right stakeholders are involved during planning and execution exercise. Further, they will be responsible for sharing delivery reports highlighting the Testing phase completion, seeking approval from various stakeholders.

This is a unique opportunity to establish and lead the team to enhance their skills and play a crucial role in achieving the strategic objectives of ATCO IT.

What You Get to Do:

  • Understand the project requirement and contribute towards the building overall Test Strategy adhering to the robust testing practice to ATCO and ensuring quality project delivery.
  • Collaborate with project managers and development teams to define test objectives, scope, and success criteria
  • Create a Test Plan document covering Requirements, Requirement to Scenario Traceability, Test Data Requirement and Test Environment.
  • Ensures that tests are successfully completed, and relevant artifacts attached as per process.
  • Coordinates among various partners for scheduling and executing the collaborated tests.
  • Keep track of daily execution velocity and critical path for ensuring schedule adherence.
  • Validate the defects being raised by the team for completeness and reproducibility.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy for testing our in-house and vendor software products, focusing on efficiency, coverage, and reliability. 
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts, leveraging ATCO’s automation suite to simulate user interactions and validate system behavior.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and delivery of high-quality software releases.
  • Foster the environment of creating Knowledge articles for faster team onboarding and referral for repetitive defects.
  • Coach, mentor, and teach individual team members to perform to the maximum of their ability and to co-ordinate progressive skill development within a high functioning team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of technical experience in project delivery lifecycle – Waterfall, Iterative and Agile
  • Knowledge and experience in Functional testing, API testing, Cross browser testing, Operational testing.
  • Hands on experience with test planning and execution in a multi vendor and multi release environment.
  • Ability to review testing requirement for change requests, assessing the impact on test plans and schedules.
  • Understanding and experience with various tools and methodologies in the field of test management, defect management and automation.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization, within and outside of IT, including the ability to use non-technical language to explain technology to non IT stakeholders.     
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, release processes, and version control systems
  • Exposure to applications Oracle CCS, Maximo would be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge on tools Jira, Xray, Sharepoint, Selenium, WebDriver.IO  is required.
  • Knowledge of IBM Ignite is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and professionally in a dynamic environment while managing multiple demands and priorities.
  • Strong analytical, technical and decision making skils with a proven track record of on time delivery.
