Job Description

The Test Facility Team Lead is responsible for the operation, management, and performance of the testing facilities at TAQA Drilling Solutions. The incumbent will provide leadership and direction to the staff as well as collaborate with the engineers to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to meet the company’s growth and profitability objectives

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Leads testing team to develop annual operating plans and key performance indicators that support growth and profit improvement initiatives, conforming to established customer and company quality standards.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements changes for continuous improvement.
  • Interacts with the new product development team and sustaining team to support their projects and initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and training.

Education / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

Required skills:

  • Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor
  • PLC Programming, preferably TwinCAT

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Downhole tool experience
  • Experience with Beckhoff and National Instrument systems
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • P. Eng.
  • Oilfield experience
  • 3-5 years of related work experience
  • 3 + Years of managerial experience
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of triplex pumps
  • Knowledge of pressure, load, and strain gauge sensors
  • 3D printing experience
  • Excellent computer skills e.g. MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage human resources effectively
  • Proven performance as a high-energy team player with the ability to lead team
