Kane Veterinary Supplies is a Canadian wholesale distributor and manufacturer agent, providing excellence in distribution of the highest quality, cutting edge, value-laden products to the pet retail, veterinary, agricultural, and equine markets across Canada.Remote Location: Southwestern OntarioJob SummaryResponsible for developing, maintaining, and advancing accounts by regularly contacting businesses within the Company’s related industry and within a defined territory. Consults with business owners, managers and their staff regarding products and services available.Essential Functions: 80% field sales; 20% inside sales/administrationOversee an established dealer and pet retail sales territory.Develop and execute a sales coverage plan.Make regular sales calls to pet specialty stores.Establish and maintain strong relationships with peers, and business partners within our industry.Maintain timely and accurate records of all activities by providing expense reports and call reports.Work effectively and efficiently within a team environment to achieve regional sales targets.Keep Management informed of industry news and development.Key in orders and prepare quotations.Oversee and take care of customer credits and returns.Job Qualifications/RequirementsHighly customer service oriented and focused on detail.Industry related sale experience preferred.Strong and effective communication and planning skills.Travel with overnight stays.Excellent organizational skills.Computer literate with excellent knowledge of MS OfficePositive attitude, self-motivated, result oriented and disciplined team player.Animal health experience is an asset.Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading & writing)A valid driver’s license is required and must maintain good driving record.Candidates must possess one or more of the following:University Degree, or equivalent work experienceThree or more years of experience in business-to-business salesThree or more years of experience in companion (small) animal industryPreferred QualificationsBachelor of Science or BusinessProven track record in salesP.C. skills including knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing softwareSkillful negotiation and presentation abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsUses technology with efficiency, including Microsoft 365, Accounting Software and MS Outlook and Excel applications.Experience with excel knowledge.We appreciate all those who apply, however only those invited for an interview will be contacted.PATTERSON IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERAs a people-first company, Patterson promotes a culture that embodies and celebrates diversity and inclusivity.
