Reporting to the Manager of Community Support Services, the Coordinator, Tenant Support & Community Support Services will work collaboratively with new and existing affordable housing tenants, to develop support plans, coordinate and facilitate support programs as well as provide one on one tenant support and engagement. In addition, the Coordinator will allocate time to support the work of the FCSS Resource Centre.The Coordinator will work with the Town of High River’s Community Support Services staff, Westwinds Communities colleagues, as well as community resources, case managers, nurses, etc. to develop support plans, as well as outreach and collaboration with other community organizations. The Coordinator serves as both a navigator and a connector and therefore is responsible for maintaining a strong working knowledge of the support services available and required for adults, seniors, and families. Additionally, the Coordinator will act as point of “first contact” for services for the Family and Community Support Services facility (in person and over the phone), providing a professional and positive experience for residents.The right candidate will have post-secondary education in Human or Social Services or related field with 3 – 5 years experience in human services, program development and volunteer management. In addition, demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various groups of people is required. The ability to maintain confidentiality and diplomacy while working with sensitive information is imperative.
