Position: Temporary Educational Assistant @ Lafleche Central SchoolDate Posted: May 22, 2024Closing Date: May 28, 2024Location: Lafleche Central SchoolCUPE Posting Number: 29-2024-2025Position Type: TemporaryStart Date: September 3, 2024End Date: June 26, 2025FTE: .50Hours of Work: 3.2 hours per day or 6.4 hours every second dayDuties: In addition to those duties outlined in the job description, duties include supporting students with diverse needs and/or high behavioural needs.Education & Qualifications: A minimum of Grade 12 diploma from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED) A minimum of one (1) year post-secondary training related to student needs such as Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Development, Youth Worker or Rehabilitation Worker (such training must be from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Employer) A valid Class 5 drivers license Physical Requirements: The ability to do heavy work is required in some assignments (ie; exerting up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to lift students and/or move objects).Wage & Benefits: In accordance with the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Currently, this is a range of $20.68 to $24.62 per hour.
