Chesterton is a leading international manufacturer of industrial fluid sealing systems, high performance protective coatings and specialized industrial maintenance products is seeking a new technician for its Montreal mechanical seal repair center.As a service technician, you will work under the supervision of our Eastern Canada Service Center Director.Your mandate will be, among other things: Perform various repair or re-work tasks in accordance with detailed work instructions and engineering standards of our mechanical seals. You must be able to read and understand instructions and follow a clearly written and described sequence of instructions. Set up and operate simple machines, i.e. air blasters and polishing tools. Use various hand and power tools, i.e. drill press. Perform simple in-process quality control functions based on established engineering standards. Operate a CNC for cutting gaskets. Apply ceramic coatings to small industrial parts. Perform tasks for modifying pumps May carry out work tasks with instructions, if necessary. Perform other manufacturing floor functions, including shipping and receiving products for the repair center. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment. A.W.
