Summary: The Technical Underwriting Assistant is primarily responsible for the data processing of underwriting contracts and maintenance of underwriting data. Data entry of all treaty and facultative renewals and new business - Data processing with Excel spreadsheets, ranging from simple data entry work to creating new spreadsheets, manipulating and/or modifying existing spreadsheets, be able to do numerical operations within Excel spreadsheets to assist in pricing and other statistical support work. - All other Underwriting Department and Back Office or other related duties as assigned including front desk reception duties. Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance, including the basic types of primary policies, treaty types and formats - Advanced Excel knowledge and general ease working with other software as required - Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a similar position in the reinsurance/insurance industry - Other data entry experience obtained in the financial services industry will be considered
