Job summary:


In this sales and business development position, you are responsible for establishing and maintaining customer relationships by providing technical advice. You will be responsible for developing your territory and achieving sustainable sales growth You will carry out training at customers locations or on construction sites.

Your responsibilities:

  •  Independently oversee territory to build and develop it further.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision -makers, architects, developers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Support new and existing customers through technical advice and product knowledge.
  • Work with internal support teams as needed to move sales through the process.
  • Provide onsite project support, training, and product application advice to stakeholders.
  • Data Management (CRM)
  • Organize customer events such as workshops.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, wood engineering, architecture or construction management or applicable field experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry with extensive understanding of building physics, construction processes, building envelop and air sealing practices.
  • Technical background in construction, design, or building control management.
  • Previous experience in sales.
  • Passive house, high-performance building envelope and mass timber knowledge experience is a plus.
  • Ability to present and speak with internal teams and external customers.
  • Specialization in application process is a plus.
  • Ability to speak French is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Must have a current passport by start of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Candidate must live in Ottawa, Ontario

What else you need to know:


You will be carrying out the above-mentioned tasks from your home office. However, this position may require 20% of travel to Switzerland, US and throughout the Canada for overnight stays that may be one night to a few weeks. Travel requirement for daily sales and business development may require 40%-60%.
