Job Description

A Technical Program Manager (TPM) role is available in a hybrid work setting, preferably based in Montreal, with a secondary preference for Toronto. The contract is for a long-term program involving numerous teams, ranging from 12 to 100 members. This role involves formulating and delivering technical solutions, managing complex programs, and ensuring alignment with stakeholders across multiple areas.Responsibilities:- Facilitate alignment across leadership, divisions, teams, and stakeholders.- Drive cross-organization initiatives and manage dependencies.- Shape strategy and requirements, serving as a communication focal point.- Engage with engineering leadership to build clear delivery plans.- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide technical solutions from design to delivery.- Automate delivery processes for transparency and single source of truth.- Ensure collaboration and synchronization of efforts.- Manage risks by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential roadblocks.- Drive continuous improvement with data and science-based methodologies.Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.- Approximately 7+ years of experience in roles such as Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Software Architect.- Experience working directly with software engineering teams on complex projects using Agile methodologies.- Solid understanding of Cloud Services and Platforms (AWS, Azure).- Strong technical background, detail-oriented, and excellent problem-solving abilities.- Effective communication skills with diverse audiences, including executive leadership.- Commitment to process and operational excellence.- Desire for continuous learning and self-challenge.- Outstanding relationship-building and influencing skills.- Ability to leverage technical tools to scale programs and solutions.Ideal Candidate:- Experience in developing authentication, authorization, and user access systems.- Hands-on experience with security technologies and compliance efforts (SOX, SOC 2, FedRAMP).- Strong technical aptitude and business acumen, with the ability to negotiate and influence senior leadership.- Proactive and action-oriented approach with strong execution skills.- Confidence in challenging ideas and communicating opinions respectfully.- Ability to operate at both high-level strategy and detailed, complex cross-functional planning.- Sense of urgency and ability to influence leaders and peers.- Proactive in stakeholder management and relationship building.- Ability to work as an equal partner with Engineering Leaders, Architects, Product Managers, Experience Designers, and Product Owners.Nice to Have:- Background in software industry with cloud platforms and security.- Engineering Manager experience for overseeing implementation and stakeholder management.This role is crucial for managing and delivering complex technical solutions and ensuring the successful execution of programs within a large-scale, cross-functional environment.
