Acumatica is seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) with expertise in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) services industry. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional experienced in leading product organizations and delivering B2B SaaS solutions. As a pivotal leader, the TPM will drive the development of Acumatica’s Professional Services Edition by deeply understanding customer and user needs and converting these into precise requirements for our engineering teams. This role is crucial in developing products that resonate with industry demands.
Technical Product Managers (TPMs) at Acumatica are empowered leaders who drive product requirements from inception to execution and delivery. TPMs must effectively communicate with customers, articulating the what, why, and expected outcomes of each initiative. They are expected to make informed decisions aimed at achieving positive business outcomes. Inherently curious, TPMs frequently ask "why" in their interactions, applying excellent problem-solving skills and logical reasoning to their work. TPMs spend approximately 50% of their time engaging with customers to understand their problems and needs. The remaining time is dedicated to translating these insights to the engineering team, facilitating precise and impactful product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the business analyst and product manager to ensure the designs of feature/function requirements meet the goals of the roadmap, product vision and strategy.
  • Engage customers/users to understand their needs, requirements and validate solutions by managing focus groups, community engagement, user groups, and advisory boards.
  • Define and prioritize product requirements to maximize return, balancing customer needs with business priorities.
  • Manage product backlog and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Lead quarterly product planning that clearly articulates themes, priorities and expected outcomes.
  • Translate user requirement into value and benefits that can effectively be communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering on new and/or existing feature design, providing detailed requirements for user experience, business workflow and reporting ensuring desired outcome for our customers.
  • Lead user testing and feedback sessions to validate product concepts and improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide product training and support to internal teams and key customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and prepare internal stakeholders, partners and customers for new product and feature releases to include: testing, training, documentation, early adopter and beta programs.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product quality and performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Become an Acumatica product, subject matter expert.
  • Resolve escalations from the support, customer success, and implementation teams.
  • Work with support to identify knowledgebase topics and assist with writing articles.
  • Work with support to tackle critical product gaps and work with the engineering team to provide timely solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a technical field.
  • Strong understanding of software development and web technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum/waterfall development methodologies.
