The TID is part of the live content team and works closely with producers, artists, project managers, programmers and other technical designers.Your ResponsibilitiesRecreation of brand assets into the game in authentic advertising animationsRecreation of authentic broadcast overlays and in game overlays to match brand standards of partnersMaintain best practices in code and art developmentUI animations and effects creation using proprietary game engineApply proper art optimization techniques in art assetsQuickly identify and debug art and animation related issuesMotion demo design and creation for game front end and HUD and integration in gameCollaborate with live content and art, explaining both the art team needs and the tech constraintsLearn and support animations and UI work with legacy tech (Flash-based animations via ActionScript and timeline)Your QualificationsTechnical skills, and ability to quickly learn new proprietary production tools and workflowAdept or be able to quickly learn various Object Oriented programming languages and scripts (e.g. Javascripts, C++)Familiar with scripting languages like PythonProficient with Adobe Flash/Animate, Photoshop, and other graphics and animation applications1+ years of experience creating 3D motion graphics, or interfaces with game engines such as Unreal.Visual animation and programmingOther Preferred Skills/QualificationsUnderstanding of user experience principlesUnderstanding of revision version control software. Knowledge of Perforce is idealDegree in a relevant visual art or technical subject highly desired (e.g. BSc Computer Science or Game Programming , Game Art and Design Diploma)Ceci ne s’applique pas au Québec.BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.HOURLY PAY RANGES• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):º $79,900 - $111,900 CAN AnnuallyBase salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
