See what the power of commitment can do for you!Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:Provide technical leadership in dams and hydro design projectsMaintaining key client relationshipsDelivering successful project outcomesSecuring project opportunities for the teamBuilding GHD’s profile in dams and hydro-powerActively participate in client relationship management, business development, development of proposals, reports, and technical analysisExperience required:A minimum of 20 years’ experience in large dam engineering with the majority of this time working as a consultantEstablished industry profile through participation in professional associationsThe technical experience and skills specific for this position include:Demonstrated skills and understanding of dam design for large dam and hydropower structuresDetailed knowledge of design of a broad range of dam types, including embankment and concrete damsWorking knowledge of the broad field of dams engineering, including all elements of design (spillway design, dam design, design of outlets and intake towers, hydropower facilities), dam safety and risk assessments, and construction phase experienceAdditionally, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:Established project and time management skills, including preparation of budgets, work programs, proposals, tenders, technical submissions, and reportsEstablished project team management skills in a multidisciplinary consulting environmentDevelop and maintain strong client relationshipsAbility to work on multiple projects concurrently, strong written and verbal communication skills in English along with an ability to work well with a variety of clientsWhat we expect of you:Provision of authoritative technical leadership for design, documentation, and reports for new dams, upgrading of existing dams, and hydropower projectsA willingness to travel both nationally and internationally as required for projectsWell-regarded dams and hydropower design advice during client tendering and evaluation of tenders and where required design advice and quality control during constructionTake on some of the world’s toughest challenges - with everyone at GHD backing you every step of the way.
