Privately owned and based in Laval, Quebec, with a strong vision for innovation and optimizing the employee and client experiences, we continue to help generations of Canadian women to look and feel their best.Job DescriptionAs the Technical Designer, you will contribute to Lauras success by collaborating with Designers and Category Managers and producing Tech-Packs showing garment engineering for each style to ensure executable creation of samples.How will you support the team?Create domestic and import Tech-Packs.Request all fabric and style numbers for import and domestic.Prepareall Tech-Packs for hand-offs to Import Coordinators.Fabric follow-up, initial price, sampling, trim, etc. with vendor (necessary information to start the concept/collection).Workwith Designer to create, execute and maintain collection boards (Illustrator & InDesign).Ensureall documents are up to date.Research trims, special construction of a garment, embroideries if needed and providetrend ideas to the Designer.Measureoriginal samples when needed.Createinitial specs when needed.Commenton proto samples when needed.QualificationsThe people who thrive with us have/are:3 to 5 years experience in a similar positionExperience with Adobe IllustratorA strong knowledge of fabrics and trimsKnowledge of garment engineeringA passion for fashionProficiency in French and English (written and spoken to efficiently communicate with internal and external partners)Dont miss this opportunity to join an exceptional team!Additional InformationLaura Canada is a family-owned retailer housing two iconic women’s fashion apparel brands, Laura and Melanie Lyne.
