Job Title: Technical Architect

Contract Duration: 1 year, with 4 options years for renewal

Location: Hybrid – Ottawa, 1200 Montreal Road, Building M55

Security Requirement: Reliability Clearance

Overview: Our government client seeks a Technical Architect to support IT modernization and digitalization initiatives within the Construction Research Centre. The role involves designing and delivering comprehensive architecture solutions.

Mandatory Requirements

• 10 years of experience in Business, Data, Application, and Technology Architecture.
• Reliability clearance with the Government of Canada.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10 years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture, involving .Net, Dynamics (365/CRM), PowerPlatform, SharePoint, or Azure.
• 5 years of experience designing hybrid solutions with Microsoft cloud components.
• 4 years of experience in a public sector architecture role in Canada.
• 8 years of experience in IT modernization projects with Microsoft cloud solutions.
• 5 years of experience in designing and deploying Microsoft Azure solutions.
• 10 years of experience assessing new technologies and presenting recommendations.
  
  

Additional Expertise

• 6 months' experience in Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) and related tools.
• 1 year of experience with ETL tools, SSIS, and Azure data exchange mechanisms.
• Experience with custom web APIs in Azure.
  
  

Tasks

• Develop solution architecture based on project objectives and requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation for security assessments and operations.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings to ensure project alignment.
• Provide guidance on deployment planning and development strategies.
• Collaborate with IT partners on foundational technology requirements.
