Job Description Team Leader provides direct support service support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, assisting with finances, staffing, medical concerns and healthy living both physical and emotional. A Team Leader shall function as part of a team, ensuring a high quality of life for individuals supported by our Agency. She met and married her high school sweetheart, Larry Brown, and have been married for 48 years. They have 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. They currently live in Brandon. Jane graduated Rivers High School and began a career at MPI. After being a stay at home mom while their children were small, Jane returned to the work force at Behlen Industries in 1983. She was employed with them for 26 years in various capacities starting in the office in the production department, then moving to accounting and then to IT. Jane retired from WGI in 2009, the last year was spent documenting their entire manufacturing/accounting system in a help manual. She has also done the bookkeeping for their family business, HiWay Esso, since 1995. They sold the Esso in 2021 so now have more time to volunteer and help out in the community. Jane was on the board for Career Connections for 4 years and served on the Onanole and District Recreation Centre Board as the Treasurer. Jane has served as a Westoba Board member for 5 years. Jane is also on the board for Family Visions and serving as Treasurer. Murray BlightTreasurerIn 1999, I was asked to form an agency to facilitate adults who are mentally and physically challenged. In 2000, the voluntary committee formed Family Visions Inc. The agency initially provided respite to families, eventually providing twenty-four-hour client care.During the past twenty years, I have been the Chairperson and the interim Executive Director on a few occasions with Family Visions. Today, I am a board member who enjoys fundraising for our ‘Special Friends’. Over the past thirty-five years, I have called upon businesses, organizations, community members, and friends to support our annual Monte Carlo Campaign.Influenced by fond memories of those who provided time, knowledge, and support allowing community activities to become tangible, Judy believes in the importance of actively contributing to one’s community. Judy brought her knowledge around Student Services, program development, and administrative acumen to Family Visions Inc. She is currently serving as President of the Board of Directors.Judy serves as Secretary for the Manitoba Arts Network Board of Directors, and closer to home, she is the past – Chair of Wasagaming Community Arts. She volunteers for Samaritan House at their food bank during the week. Personal time is devoted to her family, walking, cycling, and her new puppy, Purl!
