Job Description

Purpose; Support the CEO as directed with primary focus on guiding the staff team and all aspects of membership including retention and growth. A secondary focus on events and grants to assist in overall achievement of annual and long-term association goals.

Membership – 35%

§ Deliver exceptional customer service to retain existing membership base,

§ Actively recruit new members to achieve annual growth goals,

§ Manage & maintain new member referral and prospecting files,

§ Active role in ‘NEW’ new member welcome process,

§ File monthly membership report in Share,

§ Active role in expansion of member Affiliate programs. Explore new opportunities and present to CEO for further discussion with Board,

§ Direct role in with all existing Affiliate partners – work with CEO to establish annual growth targets, track and submit quarterly reports,

§ Supporting role in member education opportunities & programs,

§ Participate in various Task Force roles – Clean Marine, HUB Insurance, MarineWorx and others as requested.

§ Actively seek new membership opportunities for BOA and Clean Marine and communicate leads with staff team.

BOA Team – 10%

§ Track weekly Team meeting commitments and lead follow up discussions.

Events – 25%

§ Active role in event planning including creation, distribution and analysis of RFP’s, sponsorship sales, speaker recruitment and more,

§ Support creation of event presentations as directed,

§ Present membership reports as directed,

§ Analyze and summarize all event attendance with focus on growth & improvement opportunities,

§ Oversight of post event membership surveys,

§ Create and share pre and post event reports including internal debriefing summaries.

Grants – 20%

Working directly with the staff team, you will take an active role in seeking grant opportunities, drafting grant applications and drafting ongoing grant reports, All applications and reports are to be reviewed with appropriate staff prior to final submission, Liaise with Administration Manager on all financial aspects of grants. Liaise with Marketing & Communications Coordinator to ensure grant promotional commitments are fulfilled,

Office – 5%

§ Support daily office functions including asset (building) as well as staffing interactions and relations.

Board Activities – 3%

§ Participate in Board meetings and annual planning sessions as directed.

Personal Development – 2%

§ Pursue opportunities for personal growth in line with company objectives.

Other

§ Take initiative in all activities to seek improvement & efficiencies while maintaining exceptional member service and overall outcomes,

§ Perform all other duties as required.
