As a key member of the Technology team, you will be reporting to the Chief Information Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to the team of three infrastructure analysts responsible for maintaining the overall operation of Firm’s infrastructure systems (network, server, storage, voice, SAAS) required to meet the needs of all Firm members in their ability to do their jobs.Scope of Responsibilities:Manage the operation of the Firm’s infrastructure (network, server, storage, voice) systems for the use of all members of the FirmAdminister and oversee the design, administration, maintenance and security of all infrastructure systems, encompassing hardware and operating systems and specialized functions such as SQL Server, Citrix, Active Directory, Palo Alto Firewall and Cisco networking systems, Voice Mail System and Telecommunication Systems.Oversee operation of Firms computer room and network wiring systemManage the operation of the Firm’s cloud based infrastructure SAAS services systems for the use of all members of the FirmAdminister and oversee the configuration, administration, maintenance and security of Exchange Online, Microsoft Purview and Azure Active Directory systems including integration with 3rd party platforms for multi factor authentication.Ensure system backups and disaster recovery/business continuity of infrastructure systems to provide continuous operation of all key systemsProvide strong technical expertise for Windows Servers and network infrastructureHelp troubleshoot network problems and provide resolution to issues affecting performance, reliability and data integrityOversee the troubleshooting efforts of the Network Analyst and Telecom analyst in providing resolution to Network and voice system problemsParticipate in the yearly budget process by forecasting expected expenditureSpecify and recommend hardware, software and services for the upcoming year and provide detailed budget numbers for various projects, upgrades and software maintenance required for the next yearPrepare detailed planning of projects to upgrade the Firms key infrastructure systemsLiaise with vendors to aid in the administration of the technology installed within the firm and to aid in the support of all hardware systemsContinuous improvement mindset with relation to the services the technology team provides to the firmOther duties as assignedRequirements:University or College Degree/Diploma in Business/Information Technology5 to 10 years experience in Networking/Information TechnologyAsset credentials - MS Windows Certified Professional, Cisco Network Administrator, HP Server certifiedExperience effectively communicating overall strategy and direction to a teamExperience in working with a team to define and achieve goals and objectivesExperience coordinating a highly technical team Discretion, confidentiality and attention to detail are essentialA team player who takes initiative and works well independentlyGood written & verbal communication skillsWe Offer:A comprehensive benefits package, including: health and dental benefits; vision care; employee assistance program; life insurance; short and long-term disability; extended mental health benefits; a fitness allowance; and RSP matching programCompetitive compensation and vacation packageContinuing professional development opportunitiesVarious social events and wellness activities throughout the yearBusiness casual dress codeA short walk from Union subway station and accessible from the pathGoodmans LLP is committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects different abilities, backgrounds, beliefs, experiences, identities and perspectives.
