Job Description
Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a TBM Mechanical Superintendent to join our team for a construction project in Los Angeles, United States.
- Project: sewer tunnel
- Estimated length: 12 months - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the candidate in other projects to give him/her continuity.
- Responsibilities:
- Managing the daily mechanical running, operation and maintenance of the TBM and associated mechanical equipment.
- Organising and planning work for future mechanical operations.
- Managing plan maintenance for all mechanical equipment on site.
- Developing specifications for production and determining materials, equipment, material flows and layout of plant and systems.
- Liaising with Project Manager for all TBM, conveyor, gantry crane and associated equipment assembly/installation/dismantling, commissioning and testing works.
- Carry out daily plant inspections, complete and submit maintenance/breakdown reports.
- Liaising with the TBM Electrical team for planning of ongoing and future works.
- Supervise and provide support to Mechanics on shift, for trouble shooting and preventative maintenance.
- Ensuring Method Statements and Risk assessments are in place for ongoing and future mechanical works.
- Inspecting and auditing the plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained in accordance with US Standards.
- Responsible for accurate and effective shift handovers as required.
- Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a TBM Mechanical Superintendent in similar projects.
- Experience with Herrenknecht machines (valuable).
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 40 hours weekly. Rotational Shifts: from 6:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 22:00 and from 22:00 to 6:00.
