We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant who will be responsible for tax compliance and tax provision for Canadian subsidiaries. WHAT YOU WILL DO Prepare Canadian federal and provincial income tax returns ensuring timely filing of tax forms. Prepare quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and income tax balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and coordinate payment of monthly income tax instalments Review and coordinate payment of corporate GST/HST sales tax returns Prepare GST/HST elections for newly launched CI group mutual funds Prepare GST/HST SLFI annual RC7294 and RC7291 filings for corporate legal entities Maintenance of monthly and annual GST/HST blended HST rate calculations for CI Group of mutual funds Skills and attributes for success A firm grasp of primary and intermediate accounting principles and an analytical acumen for numbers Enhance technical skills by continued tax training apply knowledge to relevant tax scenarios Positive and cooperative attitude and maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of the company's information and related work products WHAT YOU WILL BRING Minimum 1 to 2 years corporate income tax experience Canadian tax experience would be an asset An accounting designation, completed or in progress BA in accounting, finance, economics or related field A commitment to learning in a tax technology environment Ability to work with tight deadlines Excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel skills CI Financial is an independent company offering global wealth management and asset management advisory services through diverse financial services firms.
