Talent & Development Specialist - 18-month Contract Purpose: As a member of our Human Resources team, you will take ownership to propose, develop and execute initiatives to bring in top talent and employee development strategies as identified through talent reviews and needs assessments. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: TALENT MANAGEMENT Maintain current Job Descriptions for current positions and maintain up to date organizational charts as requiredDesign and execute recruitment action plans and recommend enhancements to ensure the organization has the right people, in the right place, to meet the current and future needs of the businessDevelop trust relationships with management and supervisors to provide coaching and support on talent and development activitiesEnd to end leadership of assigned recruitment mandates.RECRUITMENT AND ON-BOARDING Coordinate effective onboarding plans for all new hires,Ensure People Leaders to develop and execute robust 30-60-90 day plansContinuously look for opportunities to enhance the onboarding experienceEmployee Development Administer the annual and probationary performance management process to ensure the evaluation process is clearly defined and adhered toDrive execution excellence through organizational alignment, courageous action, thought leadership and individual accountabilityAssist People Leaders to develop people, teams and culture to maximize potential through coaching, development and engagementChampion and drive the Manager Assimilation as new people leaders join TMIIn collaboration with TML, Human Resources, facilitates, corporate wide trainingChange ManagementSupport change management initiatives and partner with the leadership teams to effectively communicate functional and strategies, and performance expectations to help evolve the organization to meet short and long-range goals.In collaboration with TML, Human Resources, facilitates, change and transition efforts in various parts of the organization to ensure identified goals are fully achieved HEALTH & SAFETY:Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.QUALIFICATIONS:Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field of study3-5 years of experience in human resources management with expertise in recruitment and training & developmentCertified HR Professional/Leader (CHRP/CHRL) designation an in progress.Working knowledge of applicable legislation that governs employment policies and practices and the employment relationshipStrong conflict resolution and negotiation skillsExceptional customer focusStrong professional acumenExcellent oral and written communication skillsComputer literate with:a.
