Job Description

Procor Limited.


This role is responsible for assisting with full cycle recruiting throughout Canada for Procor’s Shop network. The TAS provides support for recruitment efforts by interfacing with hiring managers to determine advertisements, reviewing resumes, qualifying candidates, scheduling and managing interview process, and engaging during the pre-hire process.


Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Partners closely with hiring managers and department leaders to efficiently and effectively fulfill hiring requests
  • Prepares and posts job advertisements to attract potential candidates on professional networks such as Marmon’s career site, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter
  • Actively sources candidates using industry best practices to develop talent pool, building strong relationships and a network of candidates for future hiring needs. Organizes career fairs, performs outreach to career resources
  • Analyzes, screens resumes, and interviews applicants that match job descriptions and information from relevant managers
  • Presents qualified candidates to respective hiring managers
  • Provides interview follow-up communications with candidate and hiring manager, tracking applicant flow in the applicant tracking system, and managing job requisitions as appropriate
  • Provides consistent candidate engagement and communication throughout the pre-hire process
  • Arranges reference and background checks for potential employees
  • Develops social media campaign strategies and creates engaging and innovative content
  • Manages and monitors all social media accounts
  • Works a hybrid model when not travelling in Ontario, Saskatchewan, or Alberta. Travel estimated to be 15%
  • Participates in other special projects as assigned

    • Exceptional communication skills: written, verbal and oral
    • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent listener
    • Demonstrated understanding of general recruiting principles and industry best practices
    • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
    • Ability to positively present our company and its open roles to potential candidates
    • Strong knowledge of the company, industry and competitors
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc.
    • Proven track record of handling confidential information


  • Education and experience qualifications:


    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration
    • Minimum of 3+ years’ recruiting experience in heavy industry where skilled trades make up half of the workforce
    • Knowledge of Paycor or similar tracking system, and Workday’s recruitment module
    • Legally permitted to work throughout Canada without sponsorship
