Kirmac currently operates 18 locations across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. In this role, you will be the driving force behind identifying, attracting, and retaining talent to support our organizations growth and success. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at building relationships, and possess exceptional organizational skills, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Sourcing and Candidate Identification:Utilize various sourcing strategies, including online job boards, social media, and networking, to identify potential candidates.Conduct proactive outreach to passive candidates and engage them in the recruitment process.Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.Attending recruitment events, industry nights and other sponsored events.Review potential recruitment or industry events for Kirmac to participate.Partner with Senior HR Manager to build relationships with schools, industry partners and other third parties.Screening and Assessment:Review resumes and applications to assess candidate qualifications and fit for open positions.Conduct initial phone screens and interviews to evaluate candidate skills, experience, and cultural alignment.Create and review pre-screen questions on ATS.Administer pre-employment assessments or tests as needed to assess candidate competencies.Collaboration with Hiring Managers:Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, including job description creation, candidate evaluation, and interview feedback.Interview Coordination and Evaluation:Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams.Prepare interview materials and guides for interviewers to ensure a consistent and fair interview process.Collect feedback from interviewers and stakeholders to assess candidate suitability for roles.Offer Negotiation and Onboarding Support:Extend job offers to selected candidates, negotiate terms, and facilitate the offer acceptance process.Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.Inform the IT department regarding the setup requirements for new hires, facilitate the onboarding process using designated onboarding tools, and synchronize start dates with respective managers.Coordinate pre-employment checks, such as background screenings and reference checks.Coordinate delivery of uniforms, merchandise, and resources for new hires.Human Resources:Attending recruitment events, coordinating hiring fairs and facilitating with Regional Managers for hiring events.Identifying recruitment and industry events that Kirmac should be present for recruitment purposes.Support HR Leader with external relationships i.e. School Districts, Educational Facilities etc.Other HR related duties as assigned.What you bring:Candidates should possess a background in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience gained over the years.Proven experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably in a fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and candidate assessment methods.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders while maintaining attention to detail.Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software/tools.Prior experience with Dayforce is an asset.If you are passionate about connecting talented individuals with rewarding career opportunities and thrive in a dynamic work environment, we invite you to join our team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Kirmac.Apply now and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization through strategic talent acquisition efforts.We seek, in all our operations to employ individuals for available positions on the basis of their qualifications, working knowledge, and competency.
