Paymentus' success and rapid growth provides employees with opportunities for career advancement.ObjectiveThe Tableau BI Data Analyst will assist in growing our reporting and BI infrastructure. The ideal candidate is excited by learning new things, has a passion for applying innovative technology, has excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and also has significant experience within Tableau design and development.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesAdvanced hands-on design, development, and publishing of Tableau dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server; experience in data modelling and visualization techniquesBe proficient in building aesthetically pleasing dashboardsGather and document user requirements for new reports and dashboardsAssist stakeholders with data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needsMonitor the performance of reports and dashboards and take corrective action to optimize and improve dashboard performance as necessaryWork with data and analytics experts to achieve greater functionality in our data systemsBuild DBT models to feed data to reporting structuresEducation & ExperienceA bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical degreeExperience with cloud-based data warehousing, transformation, and ETL tools, such as Snowflake and DBTUnderstanding of time series and relational databases (Oracle, Snowflake, InfluxDB)High proficiency in SQLExperience with ETL processes (bonus points for DBT experience)Experience as a successful problem solver and communicatorPreferred but not RequiredSoftware development and source code management (Git, etc.)Knowledge of at least one programming language like Java or Python is plusSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not have any supervisory responsibility or direct reports.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment.
