Presently servicing a select group of advisors in Ontario, Winnipeg, and Western Canada, LP Financial is taking steps to grow its footprint and service offering in the Canadian financial services distribution landscape.

Job Description

The Systems Administrator will manage our on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will also provide support for user software/hardware questions & issues. Issues that require escalation will be brought to other IT staff or external partners for further support.

• Deploy, manage, and monitor in-house and third party applications
• Provision and manage Linux and Windows servers including both on-premises (VMWare) and Azure
• Manage on-premises and Azure cloud networks, including firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and VPNs
• Prepare and maintain Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans, including performing regular drills
• Prepare and maintain infrastructure and architecture documentation
• Windows Server Roles: Active Directory, DNS, NPAS, etc.
• Endpoint Management: configuration and monitoring
o Microsoft Intune
• M365 groups, shared mailboxes
• Exchange Online advanced configuration
• Security configuration and monitoring
o Microsoft 365 Defender
o Microsoft Purview
o Staff education and testing
o Assist 3rd parties with cyber security audits
• Backups: configuration, monitoring, testing, and restoration
o Azure Backup
o Veeam
• Patch Management for Windows/Linux servers, networking equipment, and other infrastructure and devices
• SharePoint: security and storage management
• Contribute to IT budget and IT expense management processes
• Support corporate computers (desktops/laptops), mobile devices, and accessories
• Staff onboarding and offboarding, including hardware and license management
• Supporting Office 365 suite of applications
• Managing corporate devices including printers, security cameras, and card access system

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma/degree in a field related to Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• Five years of experience in systems administration is required.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered.
