The Contract(s) will be effective for an initial term commencing on the date of award and ending on March 31, 2023. The Contract(s) will automatically renew for successive one (1) year terms, a maximum of four (4) timesBackgroundOur Clients Information Systems is seeking a resource to join their Server Infrastructure Operations team. The successful candidate will work within the existing team to help with the design and implementation of the various components of the VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Microsoft Server and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. The resource will follow team standards based on current industry and security best practices for the configuration and implementations of server infrastructure.Description of RequirementsClient is seeking a resource to design, implement and administer on premise server infrastructure and Cloud services utilizing industry and security best practices. The resource MUST have a minimum 7 years of recent and practical server administration experience and a minimum 5 years of recent and practical senior server administration experience. Experience should incorporate cloud services.Ideally the resource will have: Proven proficiency in Microsoft on premise server design, implementation, and administration Proven proficiency in Microsoft Cloud (0365, Azure) design, implementation, and administration Proven proficiency in VMware vSphere design, implementation, and administration Proven proficiency in Hyper-V architecture, design, and implementation Proven proficiency with server, storage and cloud storage security best practices Experience in influencing and establishing collaboration direction within an organization Understanding of enterprise level on premise server and cloud architecture Understanding of integrations of an on premise environment and the cloud. North American job experienceTypical activities in this role include: Design, implementation, documentation, administration and troubleshooting of the enterprise server environmentHelps prepare plans for development and installation of server and storage according to present and future requirements Provide expert technical design, implementation, and administration of the Microsoft on premise Server environment and Azure cloud environment Provides expert technical support with the VMware environment including but not limited to VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon Provide expert technical support, design, and implementation on Microsoft Server and Hyper-V environments Monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting and resolution of system problems to ensure system availabilityManage and maintain server disaster recovery including planning, implementation, maintenance and testing Manage and maintain the configuration, administration, upgrade, and maintenance of operational technology servers and related infrastructure Interacts with our user base (corporate and field employees) on an as needed basis regarding technology issues and escalations Provides infrastructure architecture recommendations Works with server patch management processes and procedures to facilitate deployment Maintains systems integrity through change control and problem management procedures and communication with internal customers Accomplishes department objectives by leading staff, organizing and monitoring work process Follows Standard Operating Procedures when carrying out position responsibilities Attends and participates in team meetings Works with the Enterprise and Solution Architecture team and other business leads to establish scalable server and storage solutions. Act as a representative of Information SystemsThe key knowledge areas and skill set required are as outlined in Appendix C – Supplementary Specifications. North American job experience is considered an asset for this proposal. Proponents are encouraged to provide specific and qualitative verbiage of other areas where their expertise can add value to our teams and make our projects as successful as possible.The resource(s) will be required to work and be located on site at Clients Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm and the proposed hourly rate shall be inclusive of all travel and living costs (PST and GST are extra). Occasional travel to support offices across the province will be required. Submitted resources MUST have a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License or equivalent to be considered.The preference for start date is as soon as possible. The initial term for this role(s) will conclude March 31, 2023; after which Client will evaluate its’ ongoing requirements and potentially extend the term for this resource in accordance with the terms and conditions of the bidder’s Technology Master Service Agreement (TMSA).
