Job Title: Sustainability Strategy Manager, FinanceLocation: Brampton, OntarioPosition Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sustainability Strategy Manager to lead our corporate finance team in integrating ESG considerations into our business operations, financial planning, and reporting processes, while also managing day-to-day activities and ensuring compliance with ESG standards and regulations. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of ESG principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills to engage stakeholders across the organization and drive meaningful change.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement the companys sustainability strategy within the finance function, integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into financial planning, risk management, and investment decisions.Collaborate with senior leadership, including CFO and other functional leaders including Operations, Commercial Sales, Procurement, People & Culture, to establish sustainability goals, targets, and performance metrics that are aligned with the companys overall strategic priorities and financial objectives.Lead the development and implementation of ESG integration frameworks and methodologies within financial processes, such as capital allocation, budgeting, valuation, and performance evaluation, to ensure robust ESG risk management and value creation.Drive the preparation and dissemination of ESG disclosures, reports, and communications, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting frameworks (e.g., ISSB, SBTi, GRI, SASB, TCFD as appropriate). Lead the implementation of data collection and reporting systems, including methodologies, policies, procedures and tools to obtain, analyze and report ESG data.Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, sustainability, investor relations, and other functions to promote cross-functional alignment, knowledge sharing, and best practices in sustainability strategy and finance.Advise the company on its engagement with external stakeholders, including investors, clients, vendors, regulatory bodies, to communicate the companys sustainability strategy, performance, and value proposition, and respond to inquiries and requests for information.Monitor and report on key sustainability trends, regulations, and market developments related to sustainable operations, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.Requirements:Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Sustainability, or related field.
