Job Description

Overall ResponsibilitiesThe Supply Planner ensures production and Purchased Finished Goods are aligned to satisfy projected demand requirements while meeting inventory and optimizing operational efficiencies. They will develop end to end supply plans that meet inventory fulfillment for a specific category of product(s). Reporting to the Manager, Supply Planning the Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for inputs into the Master Plan. Specific Key Responsibilities & DutiesPlanand maintain supply plan for assigned products and location(s) that align with business planning cycle, customer requirements, and demand plan to meet service and inventory targets.the execution of the Supply Plan, proposing adjustments when required.the resolution of issues related to the supply plan execution.Analyze planned capacity and implement advanced planning actions to ensure weekly schedules are reliable and MRP supply planning is accurate.Check availability of materials required to meet production schedules Provide input to the monthly IBP planning cycle in form of short-term capacity requirements, identify potential bottlenecks and communicate supply shortages, excess and allocation schedules.Inventory ManagementProvide input in the development of annual inventory budgets/ forecasts monthly.Publish and perform analysis on inventory aging buckets and recommend corrective actions.Periodically review inventory replenishment models parameters (safety, cycle stock levels and lead times) and implement models to exclude or align with certain types of demand fluctuations.Review and propose economic quantities for manufactured and/or purchased finished goods.Performance Management and Continuous Improvementand perform root cause analysis on key metrics including inventory turns, customer service levels, Net Requirement accuracy in monthly meetings.special projects and initiatives as assigned and within the timeframes specified.in compliance with the company’ s Health & Safety Policies/SOP’s including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure.comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities RequirementsPost-secondary education, APICS or other professional development certification.2-4 years’ experience in a Planning or Inventory position, preferably in the consumer products industry.Demonstrated experience with an MRP and MS Office applications.Proven analytical and operational experience.Familiar with GMP, and the various practices of the food and/or pharmaceutical industryAbility to produce reports and schedules in a timely and accurate manner.Strength in inter-personal, teamwork and communication skillsExperience in both short-term and advanced planning processes.Innovative, adaptable and motivated towards continuous improvement.Excellent reactive problem solving skills.
