We have a rich history of consistently driving innovation, harnessing cutting-edge technology, and cultivating a dynamic environment that empowers our employees to shape the future. Reporting to the Mine Training Senior Supervisor, the Training Supervisor is responsible for training, instructing, and evaluating employees in both classroom and field environments.Responsibilities:Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures;Deliver comprehensive training based on safe work procedures and site training requirements including simulator, classroom work, and field work;Design and redesign outdated training material as required;Provide direction and supervision for Mine Operations trainers assisting with training;Participate in the development and modifications of standard practices and procedures;Evaluate employees on their abilities to safely and productively operate equipment and other day-to-day activities;Assist with administering new hire, baseline, and emergency training;Utilize Success Factors software for scheduling and record keeping;Implement and direct Department training plans as outlined in forecasts and safe work procedures;Coordinate with Operations Supervisors to ensure training is meeting the needs of the crews;Exhibit Core values of Safety, Sustainability, Integrity, Respect, Excellence, and Courage;Perform other duties as assigned or required.Qualifications:Completion of Gr.12 or equivalent;Exemplary safety leadershipMinimum five years of open pit mining Experience providing training on some of the following: Autonomous Haulage Systems, Haulage Truck, Electric Shovels, Production Loader, Electric Drill, Heavy Duty Dozer, Grader, Backhoe and Excavator;Good knowledge of the B.C. Mines codeDetail-oriented, adaptable, and energetic;Motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and excel in a fast paced, dynamic environment;Strong communication (both written and oral), organizational and interpersonal skills;Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;Ability to multi task and keep accurate records of all training events;Possess a valid driver’s license.Assets:IAuditor and LMS experience;Knowledge and training on Autonomous Haulage SystemKnowledge of fleet management systems (Command, Wenco, or MineStar) would be considered an asset;B.C. Shift Boss and blasting ticket, or B.C.
